Our production process is organised as a single technological sequence, from timber drying and preparation to final machining, installation of embedded parts and surface finishing. Parameters affecting geometry, strength and service performance are controlled at every stage.
MANUFACTURING PROCESS
The manufacture of glulam structures is organised as a consistent process with parameter control at every stage. All operations are carried out in accordance with the project documentation and specified tolerances.
KEY PRODUCTION STAGES:
• Timber drying • Calibration, defect removal and finger-jointing • Lamella bonding into structural members • Final calibration • Installation of embedded components • Surface finishing
We work with KM and KDK design documentation to ensure that glulam structures are correctly translated into production. Design solutions are developed with manufacturing methods, tolerances and installation requirements in mind.
The design process includes analysis of structural geometry, connections and loads. Where required, we propose technical solutions for connection optimisation and adaptation to manufacturing constraints without changing the structural scheme.
ENGINEERING PARTNERSHIP
For projects involving complex geometry, Lesmarket collaborates with Neformat Engineers — our partners in algorithmic design, digital manufacturing and robotics.
In the joint decorative glulam column project, Lesmarket manufactured the glulam blank, while the complex surface geometry was milled using a robot located at the Neformat Engineers facility.
